Dear Khun Pattama,
How are you? I am fine. Is there much rain in Bangkok? There is some in Chiang Rai. Khun Pattama, now I am a first year regular college student persuing a 4 yr degree. My major is business administration, focusing on marking at Rajabhat U. Chiang Rai.
I want to thank you and the Club for helping such a needy hilltribe child as myself. I am aware all the time that without your help, there would be no ME today. No future as bright as I now have. I can get an education like others, you give me the chance of someone longing to study but with no sponsors it would not happen. Khun Pattama and the Soroptimist International Dusit, Thailand helped me through Matayom 6. Now I am going for a college degree, my ultimate dream. But with meager income only earned once a year, a younger sister to send to school, it is tough. There is dormitory, tuition and books, uniform to show my faculty, food among the many unexpected expenses. Therefore, without outside help, my family would not be able to support me to continue. I would like to ask for you and your Club to continue to provide funds for me.
Please help a hilltribe child have her dream realized. I promise to be diligent, not make my parents and yourself, and the Club disappointed. I always think myself that when I have graduated and worked, made enough for my family to live well, then I want to help other disadvantaged children to be educated. They will have the rights as they should have. So they will be good citizens, the same way that Khun Pattama and the Club has helped me. You gave me the chance to be a good person, to have a better life as now. I will never forget your kindness, you shone the light for one child who only saw darkness. She did not see any direction for her life.
Hope you will take care of your health. Also that your family will be happy and fulfillment all the time.
Respectfully,
Ms. Kwanchanok Saikwan
