Soroptimist International of Dusit began their highly acclaimed biennial Home & Garden Tours in the early eighties. Always expertly organized, more and more homeowners opened their doors and allowed guests a glimpse of the architecture and decor of their exquisite residences.
In 2007, more than 400 participants admired the stunning modern residence of Narong and Waleeporn Intanate, an internationally acclaimed architect couple. The second residence visited was the beautifully preserved traditional Thai home of Jean Michel Beurdeley and Patsri Bunnag, featuring their prized collection of artifacts from throughout Southeast Asia and China.
The last Home & Garden Tour took place on Saturday, January 31, 2009. The theme was ‘The Royal Residential Heritage of Dusit’, focusing on the historical and architectural gems hidden away in this delightful district, for which our club is named.
