S I Dusit -July's Special night.

After having a very enthusiastic General Committee meeting, our guests began arriving at Alison's home.  While the meeting had been coming to an end, we heard the clangs of plates being smashed. [ A practise run, we were told!].

Olives Restaurant had provided our menu for the night.  The most delicious unadulterated Greek food was offered to us.  Seconds were certainly the order of the day, then followed by beautiful baclava, moist succulent, and honey natural Greek Yoghurt, served in shooter glasses, proved  the finale for this delightful experience.

Elena started us off with some very easy dance steps, which proved much more difficult as the music got faster and faster, this was made even more exotic, with the occasional plates being smashed.  I think I should have danced before the food, as after eating to my heart's content, gravity made dancing a little difficult.

This wonderful July occasion was so much fun...Great company, many new friends joined us, ambiance, from our hostess and her family, then all the food wine and dancing... I felt sorry that so many members were away for the Summer break and visiting family and friends overseas..

We in Bangkok, had a ball.
